Seoul Garden - Korean BBQ Perfect for the Holiday Season

Please note that at the time of this article’s publication (December 23, 2020), Seoul Garden is only open for curbside and carryout dining. Photos throughout this blog were taken on location prior to the ban on indoor dining in St. Louis County. As this year comes to a close and the next will soon be upon us, please support your local businesses.

Maybe you just don't feel like cooking this Christmas, or you forgot to defrost the ham and it's too late now. Maybe you just want to get some delicious carryout and/or want to try something other than Chinese food this time of year. The solution? Seoul Garden, a Korean BBQ restaurant located in Creve Coeur, Missouri.

First: Chicken bulgogi bee bim bop, served in a sizzling hot bowl. Second: Strawberry soju, a Korean rice liquor.

Serving up several classic Korean dishes ranging from bee bim bap (a rice dish mixed with veggies and meat) to japchae noodles and kimchi fried rice, Seoul Garden is a favorite St. Louis County restaurant. While these and many more delicious dishes are available for carryout ordering (including some delicious soups perfect for the colder months), the star of Seoul Garden is its authentic Korean BBQ experience.

During regular indoor dining times, customers have the option of an all-you-can-eat dining experience, where you can choose any number of Korean proteins (beef brisket, chicken bulgogi, Kalbi short ribs, etc.) and cook them right at your table on the built-in grill. While cooking your various meats, you might enjoy sampling a variety of side dishes like rice, bean sprouts, kimchi, and veggie pancakes, and sipping grapefruit or plum soju. It's a fun, hands-on dining experience perfect for a date night, social lunch, or sit-down dinner with the family.

First: Grilling meats and veggies on one of Seoul Garden's tabletop grills. Second: A selection of side dishes and sauces.

With this indoor dining experience being indefinitely suspended, Seoul Garden has pivoted to new and uncertain times by offering their BBQ menu as a carryout option. You can opt for the small order meat set, feeding 3-4 people for $100, or the large order, feeding 8-10 people for $200. Every BBQ set comes with a selection of meats, plus sides, rice, and sauces. As a true BBQ set, the meat comes uncooked for you to try grilling Korean BBQ in the comfort of your home, however if you don't want to break out the griddle or wash pans after your meal, the meats can be precooked for an additional $20 fee.

The holidays are a time of delicious dishes, so why not spread some cheer to St. Louis and eat local from a spot like Seoul Garden? Your taste buds will thank you, and treating yourself to takeout is one of the best gifts you can receive during the fun, festive, and often stressful/exhausting holidays.
